You’re poetry is a true gift. You glorify God in all you do and your poems have been spiritual bread for my malnourished soul at times when I have needed sustenance. Thank you
"But the way you pursue something defines how you possess it." I spent a minute praying and daydreaming about His pursuit. There are so many ways I imagine Jesus being in pursuit. And I can't shake the image of His eyes a bit watery in love along with His chapped lips as he pursued us with Holy Compassion.
BB Warfield (old seminary professor) wrote a little book called "The emotional life of our Lord" and as he studied all of the NT, he comes to the conclusion that compassion was Christ's chief emotion.
I love your work brother...I heard of you through the guys from Kings Kaleidoscope and admire who you are becoming in Christ and the gift's He has given you to write the way you do. Thank you for for your faithful work <3
Such a good poetic commentary on the wilderness. Images burst from the words!
"But the way you pursue something
defines how you possess it"

I liked these verses too!
You're a very gifted writer, Joshua!
Beautiful words interwoven to express something powerful.
It's humbling to think of God in such a needy state.
Achingly beautiful.
Deep, beautiful reflection
